Breakthrough innovation through Intrapreneurship: Inventing the future of play at LEGO

David has worked with radical innovation and lean start-up methods in small businesses and large global corporations for the last 15 years - e.g. as Head of Innovation at Scandinavian Airlines and Senior Innovation Director for front-end development at LEGO. Using design thinking and agile development, David has been developing and leading front-end organizations and projects from early incubation to full maturity.
At LEGO’s Future Lab, David headed up a multidisciplinary team of brilliant designers, marketers, project managers and engineers tasked with inventing the future of play. With a lean start-up approach and an intrapreneurial mindset, the team developed breakthrough business initiatives from insights gathering and early concept development to market validation and transition to core business. Using agile development, prototyping and strategic partnerships to build new learning and capability fast. Through his experience, David has obtained several unique insights and developed approaches to how businesses can stay afloat in an ever-faster changing world and transform the organization into a change-leading innovator. He believes that anybody can become an innovator in their own organization or as he calls it a “Diplomatic Rebel”.

Paul Santilli leads the Business Intelligence and Customer Insights organization for Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s WW OEM Business, and has been with HP for 20 years. He is responsible for Business and Competitive Intelligence Modeling and Customer Insights analytics, where he is the Chairman of HPE Executive Customer Advisory Boards worldwide. Additionally, Paul heads up the WW OEM Marketing & Evangelism Team, focusing on Sales Tool Enablement and GTM strategies as well as WW Communications and Social Media platforms. He has extensive knowledge in Quality Management Systems, having earned and practiced both ISO and Malcolm Baldrige certifications and auditing. Prior to HP, Paul worked for 10 years at Apple Computer in various leadership positions including New Product Technology Development, IT infrastructure support, and Quality Management Systems. Paul has a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan, and earned a Master’s degree in Engineering and Business at Stanford University.

Drive Amadeus future strategy by providing top management with actionable intelligence on the external environment

  • Head the identification of key developments impacting Amadeus competitive position and ensure those insights will trigger action planning.
  • Actively contribute to projects related to strategy definition and evaluation with the Corporate Strategy and Business Development teams.
  • Lead thought leadership on disruptive trends: be a think tank to foster innovation.
  • Drive a Competitive Intelligence culture by leading CI methodology guidance and best practices sharing, acting as central point of expertise across Business Units.
  • Steer ad-hoc consultancy services within Amadeus, manage and collaborate with external companies on specific CI projects.
