I’m currently working as Head of Corporate Foresight & Market Intelligence for Lufthansa Technik, the world leader in aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services. Like a think tank, my team and I are responsible foreseeing trends, signs and signals potentially having an impact to our industry in order to consult upper management enabling knowledge based and strategic decisions.
Prior to my current role, I was working as Corporate Innovation Manager, leading research & development projects, which have cross division or cross company impact. The technical domains of these projects are within the areas of all/more Electric Aircraft, Internet of Things (IoT), Digitalization and/or Cabin & Cargo. Before joining Lufthansa Technik, I worked on behalf of AIRBUS as well within the field of Cabin & Cargo innovation. From my point of view, the most exiting part of this topic is the combination of a very wide range of technical domains and the interaction with people.
No matter if organizing a flight test with passengers or convincing the own management of the significance of a certain topic, this interaction between people is my true passion. I’m always eager to connect with others whether inside or outside the aerospace industry. While I enjoy all aspects of my job, I think my favorite stage of a project is when finally a very diverse team starts working together, understanding each other’s perspective. As we go through that collaborative process, the ideas start to flow and that’s always the fun part. This is why in addition to the daily business, I always try to get involved with international bodies like IATA or SAE.
I have a Diploma in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Stuttgart, Germany with a term abroad at the University of Tokyo, Japan.
I’m always interested in new challenges and opportunities or just interesting creative folk, so feel free to contact me if you’d like to connect.
